William Jeffry, 58, died Friday a week ago at the Rand District Hospital from a heart attack. 
He was well known to the mining fraternity, having mined for years in the Kelso and Jawbone 
Canyons and in the Piute Mountains.
He is survived by a sister in Santa Ana and sister-in-law in Beverly Hills. Services and burial 
were in Santa Ana.
