Jeanne Jensen, a longtime resident of California City, died Saturday, February 3, 
2001 . She was 78 years old, and the mother of 1 2.
She was a charter member of the American Legion Post 476, California City. She was 
the first Chaplain of the Post.
Jeanne was a pharmacist's mate in the Navy during World War II. She was also a 
member of "Legion of Mary" and a longtime teacher of CCD at Our Lady of Lourdes 
Catholic Church, California City.
