Funeral services for Clifford Johnston will be at 2 p.m. today at the Cannarr-
Fairlee Funeral Home in Fort Bragg. Burial will follow at Rose Memorial Park. 
Mr. Johnston died Monday morning in a San Francisco hospital at the age of 67. 
He was a native of Fort Bragg where he was raised and educated. For the last 34 
years he has been a rancher and logger in the Branscomb area. Mr. Johnston was 
a member of the Willits Masonic Lodge, the Eel River Sportsmen, the Branscomb 
Rifle Club and a charter member of the Laytonville Lions Club. Mr. Johnston is 
survived by his wife, Anita Lindberg Johnston of Branscomb, one son, Andrew 
Johnston of FortBragg, and one daughter, Marsha Robinson of Fort Bragg. He is 
also survived by four grandchildren. Memorials were suggested to the Salmon 
Restoration Project, P.O. Box 1448, Fort Bragg.
