Friends, family mourn Irma T. Jones at age 79
DOWNEY-A Funeral Mass was heard Wednesday, Oct. 9 at Our Lady of 
Perpetual Help Catholic Church for Irma T. Jones, a Downey resident for 
four years, who died in Norwalk Oct. 4.

She was 79, born in Costa Rica Nov. 18, 1916, and lived in Garberville from 
1945 to 1966. She then moved to Perris, CA. She worked as a sales clerk for 
the Hyken Pharmacy for 15 years.

Survivors include her daughter, Jaycita Byrne of Downey; her son, Rick Jones 
of Post, Texas; brothers Frank and Roberto Trejos of Spokane, Washington; 
sisters Luisa Celis and Alma Fischer of Venezuela, Ines Montero of Costa Rica; 
two grandchildren, and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay W. Jones in 1985.

The Rev. Fr. John Moloney officiated. Burial followed at the Riverside National 
Cemetery. Arrangements were by the Downey Zrelak Family Mortuary.
