April 9, 1940 � Feb. 9, 2005
Fran Jordan, loving wife, mother and sister, went 
to be with the Lord on Feb. 9  in Woodland Hills 
after a valiant fight with lung cancer. Services 
will be held on Saturday, Feb. 19 at Wood 
Family Funeral Service chapel at 1 p.m. in 
Tehachapi. Directions to the funeral home can

Fran was born in Chelsea, Mass. on April 9, 
1940. She graduated from Chelsea High School 
and later married Bill Sipos. They moved to 
California in 1968 where they raised their three 
daughters. In 1980, she remarried and became 
the wife of Ed Jordan. She worked at LAUSD for 
more than 20 years in their electronics 
department. 
Fran enjoyed spending time with her husband, 
children, grandchildren and friends. She moved 
to Tehachapi in 1997 and became a defender of 
cats, working closely with the humane society.
Fran is survived by her husband, Ed Jordan; 
daughters, Roberta Lincecum, Veronica Pendley 
and Kristine Detwiler; grandchildren, Kody 
Lincecum, Vanessa and Melissa Detwiler; sister, 
Roberta Cometa; and brother, Bob Zitoli.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the 
American Cancer Society or the Tehachapi 
Humane Society in Fran's memory. 
Wood Family Funeral Service handled the 
cremation arrangements.
