Services tomorrow for Mary 'Mari' Katanjian
DOWNEY-Funeral services are set tomorrow (Saturday, Dec. 20) at 2 p.m. at the Church of Our Fathers, 
Forest Lawn Mortuary, Cypress, for Mary "Mari" Katanjian, a resident of Downey since 1933. 
She was born in 1908, in Bursa, Turkey (ancient Armenia). 
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, George "Grish" Katanjian in 1977. 
Survivors include her children, Gladys Katanjian, Roxie (Hotch) Simonian, Nellie Agajanian, Helen Vartanian, 
and George Katanjian; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Rosie (Mike) Ermoian. 
A visitation will be held today (Friday, Dec. 19) from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the church. 
Services are directed by the Forest Lawn Mortuary of Cypress. 
Contributions may be made to Ararat Armenian Village, Mission Hills or St. Sarkis Armenian Church of East 
Los Angeles, or Immanuel Armenian Church of Downey.
