Last rites heard for William J. Kautzman
DOWNEY-Masonic Memorial Services were heard Wednesday, Oct. 8, at the Downey Zrelak Family 
Mortuary Chapel for William John Kautzman, a Downey resident. 
He was 84, born in Cleveland, Ohio, and died Oct. 4 in La Mirada Convalescent Hospital. 
Formerly of Norwalk, he was a tool and die maker for Straza Industries for 30 years in San Diego. On 
his retirement in 1975, he moved to Catalina Island, where he drove trams for the Island Company 
until 1991. 
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Florence Scott Kautzman in 1971; sisters Lena Nielsen 
and Alice Naymik; and brothers Henry and Albert Kautzman. 
Survivors include his wife, Anna Margaret Kautzman; daughter Joyce (Roger) Kinnel of Bellevue, Ohio; 
son Robert George Kautzman of Klamath Falls, Oregon; stepdaughter Shirley Meyer of San Diego; four 
granddaughters, three grandsons and five great-grandchildren. 
Downey Masonic Lodge 220 F. & A.M. officiated. Private cremation followed. Arrangements were by 
the Downey Zrelak Family Mortuary.
