Source Unknown; Date Unknown Walter Alan Lamb Jr., age 73, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2001 at Antelope Valley Hospital, Lancaster, CA. He had been failing in health during the last couple of years, being in and out of the hospital on several occasions. Walter Alan Lamb Jr. is the oldest of four children, his parents are Walter Allen Lamb Sr. and Wilma (Kessinger) Lamb. He was born June 6, 1928 in Louisville, Kentucky; To this marriage were born eight children. Walter moved to California in 1965 and later brought his family to California in 1966. Walter has been a resident of Boron, CA for the last 16 years. Walter served in the U.S. Army from October 5, 1946 until March 15, 1948, enlisting at Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was a truck driver, generally hauling supplies and artillery while serving in South Korea. He was honorably discharged and obtained the rank of Private First Class. He took up the upholstery business, following in his father's footsteps. He later owned his own business before he retired. He is preceded in death by two sons, Walter Alan Lamb III, who died in infancy, Thomas Edward Lamb Sr., and one daughter, Ramona Lamb who died in infancy; one brother Ronald Lee Lamb, who died in infancy and one sister Norma Louise (Lamb) Markwell. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ellen (Witt) Lamb of 55 years; one son, Joseph Patrick Lamb Sr.; three daughters, Elizabeth Ann (Lamb) Manuel of Waco, TX; Alberta Louise (Lamb) Mortensen of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, and Marie Ellen Lamb of Fort Walton Beach, FL; sister Patricia Ann (Lamb) Fife of Louisville, KY; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Our Lady of Lourdes on Tuesday, November 20 at 11 a.m. Burial took place at California City Memorial Park n California City, CA.
