"Big Bear Grizzly"; Date Unknown

Violet "Janet" Langford 71, of Big Bear City, Calif., passed Wednesday, 
Feb. 2, 2005. She was born Aug. 19, 1933, in Los Angeles, Calif., to the 
late William Simon Hays and Rosa Mae Ward. Janet was a homemaker. She married 
Dec. 21, 1957, in Las Vegas, Clark County, Nev., to Howard Langford, who was 
born in Telferner, Victoria County, Texas, on Jan. 5, 1932, to Larkin Langford 
and Evelyn "Evy" Sparks.

She is survived by her husband, Howard Lee Langford, of Big Bear City, Calif.; 
seven daughters: Terri and husband Ronald Cross of Indiana; Susan Moore of 
Little Rock, Calif.; Barbara Logan of Northridge, Calif.; Joyce Ann and Costa 
Frantzides, of Simi Valley, Calif.; Rose Langford of Little Rock, Calif.; Gloria 
and husband Richard Alicata, II, of Canoga Park, Calif.; Sharon and husband Randy 
Seim of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; one son: Ron and wife Kelly Langford of Quartz, 
Calif.; 22 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Feb. 26, 2005, at the Langford homestead house in 
Northridge, Calif.
