The Downey Eagle January 16, 1998 Volume 5 Number 47 Services held for Hazel May La Vigne DOWNEY-Services are set today (Friday, Jan. 16) at noon at the Miller-Mies Mortuary Chapel for Hazel May La Vigne, a resident of Downey for 48 years and a former stationary assembler for various stationary printers over a span of 40 years. She was 93, born in Baileyville, Kansas, and died Jan. 11 in Inter-Community Nursing Convalescent Home. She was raised a Baptist and was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion. Survivors include two nephews, Alan and Larry Weeks; and two nieces, Thelma Clark and Jean Ake. The Rev. Dave Oliver will officiate. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Cypress.
