"Big Bear Grizzly"; Thursday, January 15, 2009
 
James Leonard, Jr. 56, passed Jan. 8, 2009, at home in Big Bear City. Born Nov. 18, 1952, 
in the San Fernando Valley, Jim moved to Big Bear with his family as a teenager and attended 
high school in the Valley. He was loving husband and father and will be greatly missed by his 
many family and friends. He is survived by his wife Shelley, three daughters, Brandie Bentsen, 
Jennifer and Holly Coulter and son Charles Coulter currently serving in the U.S. Navy, and 
four grandchildren; two sisters, Becky Barden and Sharon West, mother-in-law Barbara Barnes, 
sister-in-law Cathy Goodrum and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his 
parents James Sr. and Gracie Leonard. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, 
at Big Bear Believer's Chapel, 42180 Moonridge Road, Big Bear Lake.
