All persons donating to this site retain the rights to their own work. Source Unknown; 15 Aug 2002 Elder C.J. Levias was born in Bleakwood, Texas on March 14,1908 to, Payne and Nancy Levias. He spent his early years attending school and beginning his Christian walk in Biloxi, Mississippi. During the 1930s he began his fellowship and walk of faith with the Church of God in Christ. In Richmond, California he was the founder and Pastor of Faith Chapel Church of God in Christ where he preached the Gospel and ministered to all he met. In 1981, after moving to California City, California, he began a fellowship with Pastor C. Belton at Trinity Lutheran Christian Church where he remained as Assistant Pastor until his passing. On Friday, July 19, 2002 Mr. Levias departed this life for a better one with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his first wife Martha Levias. Mr. Levias leaves to mourn his passing his wife, JoEthel Levias; three sisters, Matilda Buchanan, Annie Mae Knighton and Clara Lee Johnson; two brothers, T.P. Levias and Jessie Levias; his son, Tyrone Levias; and a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Levias will be dearly missed by those he loved and those who loved him. Memorial services will be held by Pastor Clarence Belton for Elder C.J. Levias on Sunday, August 18,2002, at 3 p.m., Trinity Christian Church, 10160 Redwood Blvd., California City, CA.
