Port Wine � James Lewis, an old resident of Port Wine, died at Lewis ranch, 
the home of his brother Thomas, on Wednesday the 19th inst. He had been 
feeble for some time past. He was born at Wales, England, 73 years ago, and 
has been engaged in mining in Port Wine since coming to Sierra county. The 
funeral was held at Port Wine, Friday, Rev. E. Bean officiating.
