Source Unknown; 27 Mar 2003 November 11, 1929 - March 19, 2003 A graveside service was held at Mojave Cemetery on March 24, 2003, for Thomas Fredrick Lipscomb. Mr. Lipscomb passed away on March 19, 2003 in Mojave, California. Born in Kitzmiller, Maryland on November 11, 1929, Mr. Lipscomb loved to play the guitar with his family. Mr. Lipscomb, or "Fred" to those who knew him, was a coal miner for 18 years in West Virginia before moving to Big Pine, California and two years later moving to Mojave where he and his son have lived for the past 10 years. He was predeceased by his wife of many years, Mary Lipscomb. Mr. Lipscomb is survived by sons Kenneth Lipscomb of Mojave, Randy Lipscomb of Big Pine, daughters, Rose Calhoun of Buccannon, West Virginia; Katherine Haslacker of Kingwood, W. Virginia and Mel Miller of Buccannon, 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all. Wood Family Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
