He was born May 22, 1930 in Missouri. James was a 28 year resident of California City, California. A member of the U.S. Air Force for 29 years and worked 15 years for the Civil Service. He was also a member of the VFW. He was predeceased by his son, Steven James Loughary in 1982. James is survived by Gladys Loughary, his wife of 47 years; son Victor Loughary, daughter-in-law Denise Loughary, granddaughter Ashley Loughary and grandson Mathew Loughary all of California City, granddaughter Debra Loughary of Las Vegas, Nevada and several brothers and sisters from Missouri. James served his country in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He had a love for country music and Angels baseball. Visitation was held at the Stickel Chapel in Mojave, California, Sunday, August 22, 2004, internment took place August 23, 2004 at the California City Cemetery.
