Mojave Desert News; 25 Apr 1946 VICTIM OF HEART DISEASE Friends of Julius Pierre Louis were saddened' by news of his death which occurred at Red Rock Canyon on or about April 14. Mr.Louis, 70, who was born in Belgium and is survived by his wife Frances Louis and a son, Raymond E. Louis who resides in Whittier, Calif., was a retired oil pumper and was also interested in mining. He left his home in Whittier on April 8 to visit a mining claim. When no word had been received from him for over a week, his son set out to look for him who found the body in Red Rock Canyon on Friday, April 19. The remains were removed to the O'Donnell Funeral Home in Mojave where an autopsy disclosed the fact that he had been the victim of heart disease. tThe 0' Donnell ambulance transported the remains to Whittier for interrment.
