All persons donating to this site retain the rights to their own work. "Big Bear Grizzly"; Thursday, February 26, 2009 passed away Feb. 19, 2009, in Loma Linda while surrounded by family and friends. Susie was born May 7, 1939, to Charles Oscar and Edith Coyal Macrander. She graduated from Vista High School in 1957 and received her psychiatric technician certificate from San Bernardino Valley College in 1986. Susie loved to travel and took many trips with friends, her favorites being to Mexico City, Alaska and Zion National Park in Utah. She spent many years living in Big Bear while raising her children and spent the last 19 years in San Bernardino. Susie had many beloved friends who will miss her greatly. She was an amazing woman who was kind, generous and loving and who loved to live life to the fullest. Crafting and art were her passion and she was a talented artist in many different disciplines. She loved spending holidays with family and was a wonderful Mom and Grandma. Susie was preceded in death by both parents and siblings Charlotte, Roy and Ramona. She is survived by daughter Melody Ann Taylor of Aurora, Colo., and son Stewart Gordon Malcolm, III, daughter-in-law Laurel Ann Malcolm and grandson Nicholas Aaron Malcolm of Big Bear City, Calif. We love you, Mom. A celebration of Susie's life will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2009, at 2 P.M. at the American Legion of Rialto located at 848 S. Lilac in Rialto.
