The Downey Eagle March 5, 1999 Volume 7 Number 2 Carol Jean Mann laid to rest at 67 DOWNEY-Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 3, at the Miller-Mies Mortuary Chapel for Carol Jean Mann, a 39 year resident of Downey and the former operator of a stained and leaded glass studio, "It's Just a Glassing Fancy," more recently at Eva's Unique Flowers and Gifts. She was 67, born in San Francisco, and died Feb. 28 in Downey Community Hospital. She was a member of the New Joy Church of Bellflower. Survivors include her husband, James G. Mann of Downey; her son, James M. Mann and grandchild Kevin Mann of Duarte; daughter Jodi M. Hess and grandchildren Wyatt and Katy and son-in-law David Hess of Orange; and son John M. Mann and grandchildren Charlotte and John Ethan and daughter-in -law Jasabel Mann of Tampa, Florida; and a brother, Donald Paxton and his wife, Dolores, of La Habra. Pastor Dick Horn officiated. Burial followed at Olive Lawn Memorial Park in La Mirada. Arrangements were by the Miller-Mies Mortuarty of Downey.
