Source Unknown; 16 May 1957 Gun Shot Ends Life of Mike Marchello A self-inflicted gun shot wound resulted in the death of Michael John Marchello, 42, of Boron. Mr. Marchello who had been in Boron for 11 years fired the fatal wound from a .25 automatic in his home and expired at 4:25 p.m. on May 11, 1957 Mr. Marchello is survived by his wife, Lucy Marchello, of Boron and by Romona Ramirez, Boron; Richard Arnter, Clyde and Arthur Cuntreras, a 11 step-children of 1. Wilmington. Brothers who survive him are Tony Marchello, of 1 Boron, Edward Ma'rchello, Long Beach, John Marchello, Tuscon, Harry Marchello, Torrance, Geo. Marchello, Los Nitos and Gilbert and Wm. Marchello of Wilmington. He is also survived by five sisters: Catherine Hill, Seattle; Leanore Morgan, Nogales, Ariz.; Julia Gordin, Benson, Ariz. Josephine Aros, Tucson and Frances Marchello of Calexico, Calif. Mr. Marchello was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Barstow and a member of the Boron Lions Club. His services were Tuesday, May14, at the Baptist Church in Boron. Rev. Fleming officiated, and the Barstow Masonic Lodge officiated at the interment in the Barstow Cemetery. The O'Donnell Funeral Home in Mojave was in change of arrangements.
