Born April 26, 1937 in Massachusetts to Thomas and Nora Keohane, she was 69 years old. Eileen graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, MO., earning a Bachelor of Arts in education. She made the brave move to the west coast, packing her car with a friend, to take a teaching position here in California. Before making the decision to stay home to raise her children, Eileen worked as an elementary school teacher for many years. One of her many passions in life was antiquing. She was a member of the Bite and Browse Antique Cooperative where she made many new and dear friends. Eileen loved to travel and made numerous trips with family to Ireland for family reunions. She loved to read, go to tea with friends, and spend time watching all her grandchildren's numerous sporting events. She was one of ten children and loved her parents and siblings passionately. Her greatest joy in life was her husband Jack Beloved wife of Jack Marden. Devoted mother to Jennifer Hodges and husband, Mark of Santa Cruz, CA, Jack Marden of Santa Cruz, CA, and Jay Marden and wife, Suzanne of Carmel, CA. Loving grandmother to Jack, Kylie, Sean, Ryan and Connor Marden, and Jonah and Madison Hodges. Beloved sister of Noreen Penn and Kay Verfurth both of Springfield, MO, Thomas F. Keohane of San Diego, Michael Keohane of Jacksonville, FL, Christopher Keohane of Springfield MO, William Keohane of South Windsor, CT and Patrick Keohane of Nixa, MO. Her brother, Timothy M. Keohane and sister, Ann York preceded her in death. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass July 25, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. held at Mission San Jose Church, 43300 Mission Blvd., Fremont, CA.
