72 passed away suddenly July 7, 2009, due to heart failure in Apple Valley, Calif. He was 
a much loved husband, father, hero and friend and he will be deeply missed.

?  Bob was born Jan. 14, 1937, in Needles, Calif. He was a lifetime resident of the Golden 
State and lived happily for 30 years in Big Bear, Calif. The past 51/2 years he lived in 
Apple Valley.

He retired from the Los Angeles City Fire Dept. after serving 20 years at LAX and Venice, Calif.

?  He was involved with the Boy Scouts of America as a troop leader, he was also a small 
business owner, volunteer fireman and served on various Community Service Boards in 
Big Bear, Calif.

During Bob�s younger years he enjoyed motorcycle riding, waterskiing, tent-camping, 
canoeing and photography. He spent time in his middle years backpacking, biking, sailing 
and traveling. In his later years he tried full-time RV living, became an avid reader, movie-critic, 
restaurant connoisseur and star-gazer.

He is survived by his wife and best friend of 54 years, Margaret E. �Peggy� Mark of Apple Valley, 
Calif; daughter Pam Adams and son-in-law Vaughn Adams also of Apple Valley; son Robert Mark 
Jr. of ? Big Bear Lake, Calif; son Randy Mark and daughter??�in-law, Juliana Mark of Portola, Calif; 
grandson Jeremy Mark also of Portola, Calif; granddaughter Jennifer Reeh and husband Shannon 
Reeh of Honolulu, Hawaii; and baby greatgranddaughter Ella Katherine Reeh of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Services will be held at Sunset Hills Memorial Chapel, 24000 Waalew Road, Apple Valley, Calif.

on Tuesday July 14, 2009.

?  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11a.m. Service will begin at 11a.m. with Pastor Jeff Tunnell 
officiating. Internment will be at Gold Mountain Memorial Park, 370 N. Maple Lane, Big Bear City, 
Calif., at 3p.m. the same day.

Memorial donations may be made in Robert S. Mark�s honor to: Widows, Orphans and Disabled 
Fireman�s Fund, LAFRA Mail, 815 Colorado Blvd., 4th Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90041.
