Viginia Mary Marko, longtime resident
DOWNEY-A Funeral Mass was heard Wednesday, Feb. 18, at St. Raymond's Catholic Church for 
Virginia Mary Marko, a resident of Downey since 1952. 
She was 72, born in Los Angeles Oct. 16, 1925, and died in her Downey home Feb. 13. 
She was a member of the St. Theresa Mission Circle of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. 
She was preceded in death by her son, Frank V. Marko in 1992 at age 32. 
Survivors include her husband, Frank J. Marko of Downey; her daughters, Madeleine McElroy of 
San Dimas, Janet Winckler of Fullerton, Donna Popkin of Long Beach; her son, Philip Marko of 
Bakersfield; 13 grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. 
Father Steve Davoren officiated. Entombment followed in Calvary Cemetery. Donations are 
suggested in her memory to "Maryvale," 7600 E. Graves Ave., Rosemead, CA 91770, Attn. 
Development Dept. 
Arrangements were by the Downey Zrelak Family Mortuary.
