A family gathering was held in the home of Kevin and Shirley Judy on Tuesday, January 
12 for Rachel Cecelia Aguilar Marquez, 54, who passed away at her residence in Tehachapi 
on January 9.
Rachel was born to Jack and Lucy Ybarra in Los Angeles on July 7, 1944. For a period of 35 
years she was a homemaker. One of her interests in life was reading. She was able to pass 
this love of reading to her grandchildren.
Rachel is survived by her husband, Anthony Marquez; daughters Shirley and husband 
Kevin of Tehachapi, Patricia Borrego of Los Angeles, Lucy Ybarra of Tehachapi; son, Jesus 
Barboza of Tehachapi; nine grandchildren; father, Jack Ybarra of West Hills; and sister, 
Gloria Garza also of West Hills.
Interment followed the family gathering at Tehachapi Public Cemetery - Westside. 
Wood Family Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
