Louise Mathenia, a Bakersfield, CA resident, passed away from 
heart problems on December 23, 2001. She was born September 
14, 1914 in Gerty, OK. 
She is survived by her daughter, Betty Price of Kingman, AZ; 
sister Nancy Wilson of California City, CA; brother, Austin Purcell 
of Kingston, AZ; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-
grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. 
Services were held by Rev. John B. Smith on December 26, 2001 
at Stickel Mortuary in Mojave, CA.
