Patricia Ann Maute, 67, passed away October 18, 2000 in Lancaster, CA. Patricia was a 42-year resident of 
Mojave, California.
She was born August 6, 1933 in Arkansas and worked as a long distance operator in Mojave for 22 years.
Pat enjoyed spending her summers in Bridgeport with her husband Harold. Not only was she an avid 
reader, she was also a keen bingo player.
Pat is survived by her husband of 38 years, Harold, of Mojave, CA; one daughter, Pam Lillard of 
Tehachapi, CA; one son, Kenneth Maute of Scottsburg, IN; step-sons, Sam Maute of Mojave, CA; and Tony 
Maute of Quapaw, OK; one sister, Mary Morgan of Arkansas; four brothers, Robert, Thomas, Charles and Johnny 
Skidgel, all of Arkansas; 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Her parents, Thomas and Ollie 
Skidgel, two sisters, Mildred Skidgel and Pair Lee Morris, and three brothers, Harold, Eugene and Paul 
Skidgel preceded her in death.
Services were held October 23, 2000 at 7 p.m. at Stickel Mortuary, conducted by Reverend Grant Frye. 
Patricia will be missed by all.
