Services are held for George West McAfee
DOWNEY-Services for George West McAfee, a Downey resident and a retired employee of Hughes 
Aircraft Company, were held Jan. 22 at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier. 
He was 80, born in Blue Ridge, Georgia, and died Jan. 18 in Norwalk. 
He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church of Downey, and served in the U.S. Navy in World War II 
as a gunner. 
Survivors include his wife, Hattie McAfee of Downey; daughters Judy Pittman of Whittier, Gwendolyn 
Whitlock of San Diego; a sister, Katherine Allen; grandchildren Keith and Kevin Whitlock, Jennifer Curby; 
and great-grandchildren Jordan and Collin. 
The Rev. Carl Whitlock, assisted by Pastor Scott Burns, officiated. 
Burial followed at Rose Hills. Arrangements were by the Miller-Mies Mortuary of Downey.
