Source Unknown; 8 Aug 1957 Visitor Dies from Heart Attack Mr. Edwin Hugh McCourt, advised by his Doctor to come out onto the Mojave desert for his health. So he came to stay with friends who own the Joshua Motel at Rosamond, and there he lolled in the healing rays of the sun and in the space of a few weeks had built up his health enough so that he was already packing to return to Albuquerque, New Mexico. In the midst of his preparations for departure he suffered a fatal heart attack. The O'Donnell Funeral Home Mojave took charge local1y, sending the body on August 1st to the Strong-Thorne Mortuary in Albuquerque. with internment in Fairview Cemetery there. McCourt is survived by five sons, one being in the Navy, one at Long Beach, another in Denver, and two in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
