John P. McCoy, 76, of San Diego died Dec. 24. He was born in Tama, Iowa. 
Mr. McCoy was retired after serving as a Marine engineer, and was a 
graduate of Ninas Point.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma McCoy; daughter, Eris Gallagher; 
sisters, Alice Hart of Connecticut and Evelyn page of Oregon; and two 
grandchildren.
Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sacred Heart Church, Saratoga and Sunset Cliffs 
Blvd., Ocean Beach.
Donations: UCSD cancer research or San Diego Hospice.
Arrangements: San Diego Memorial Chapel.
