Edward passed away at home on July 8, 2009. He was born in Clinton, IA Sept. 16, 1916. He moved to Tacoma, WA where he met his wife of 70 years. In 1945 he moved his wife and 2 sons to Chicago where he attended Seminary and was ordained as a minister. While serving in a church in Kenosha, WI, he had a daughter. In 1957 they moved to CA where he served as pastor of Calimesa First Baptist Church and had another son. In 1960 he started teaching for Yucaipa School District and later became a principal. He retired from the School District in 1976. He continued to substitute teach and preach at a number of churches for several years. Since then, he has been retired and living in Yucaipa where he and his wife attend NewLife Christian Fellowship, formerly Calimesa First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Elsa, sons; Tim of Colorado, Dean of Beaumont, Scott of Rancho Cucamonga and daughter Denice Eales of Redlands, 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granchild.
