Mass for Elisabeth Meyer at age of 73 in Downey
DOWNEY-A Funeral Mass was held Saturday, Dec. 30, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic 
Church for Elisabeth Meyer, a 25-year Downey resident and a member of Our Lady of Perpetual 
Help Church. 
She was 73, born in Bleibach, Germany to parents Josef Hoecherl and Maria Seiderer Hoecherl. 
She was a homemaker to her family, and loved visits to her mountain home in Crestline. She also 
enjoyed trips back to Germany to visit family and friends. 
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Alfons Gerhard Meyer of Downey; a daughter, Sonja A. 
Koch (Michael) of Downey; sisters Maria Ploetz and Anna Wennsauer both of Germany; and 
grandchildren Adam and Eric Koch of Downey. 
Father John Moloney was celebrant. Private burial followed. Arrangements were by the Downey 
Zrelak Family Mortuary.
