Source Unknown; Date Unknown Nolen R Milburn went to peace at home on Tuesday, July 7, 1998, after braving illness for many years. Born in Mountain Home, Arkansas, November 9, 1931, he grew up in Conway. Spending 20 years in the Navy traveling the world and raising a family. Mojave became their final destination and the Post Office his new career in 1967. From the mail room to the front window and even street delivery. There wasn't much he didn't do in his 22 years there. He also served as both state and local president of the Postal Workers Union. Besides work he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and fixing anything he could get his hands on. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He will be forever remembered by his wife of 48 years, Rita Ann, his children, Nolen Jr. and wife Linda, Dan, Sarah, Jeff and wife Juli, Cathy and husband Craig Chenoweth, Ray and Beth Stead, his six pride and joys (grandchildren), brothers and sisters Lenard, Leroy, Louise Trusedale, and Fayda Mae Clemmens, all of Arkansas^ also his many nieces and nephews. The viewing was held on July 10, 1998, at Stickel Mortuary followed by graveside services at the Mojave Cemetery, Chaplain Jeffrey Elmore and Pastor Rich Bassett officiating.
