Mojave Desert News; 19 Sep 1996 George Wayne Miller was born August 10, 1923 in Kirksville, MO and succumbed of natural causes on September 13, 1996 after a long illness. He brought his family to the Antelope Valley in 1961 and was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Betty; one of his sons, George Wayne Miller, Jr., a Vietnam veteran and a grandchild, Sam Nichols. George retired from the Department of Water and Power after 23 years of dedicated service. The family wishes to express their thanks for the support and helpfulness of many good friends. George Miller was a loving and devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather and is survived by James and Sue Nichols of Florida, Myrna and Ted Jones of Huntington Beach, Steve and Janalea Miller of Sacramento, Carol and Gene McHenry of Mojave, Paul and Virginia Miller of Pinon Hills, Theodore and Charlene Miller of Independence, Diane and Mike Campbell of Mojave. His grandchildren Tamara and Howard Mango of Newport Beach, Ted Randall Jones of Huntington Beach, Erick Nichols of Florida, Seaman John Darling stationed in Japan, Recruit Brennan Miller stationed in San Diego, Bonnie Miller of Pinon Hills, Daphne Campbell of Mojave, Jacob Kelderhouse off Pinon Hills, Wayne Campbell of Mojave, and his great-grandchild Tawny Lee Miller of Newport Beach.
