Source Unknown; Date Unknown July 4, 1930 � Oct. 14, 2004 A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 19, at 9:30 a.m. at the Wood Family Funeral Service Chapel for Johnnie Johnson Moen Jr., 74, who passed away on Oct. 14 in Tehachapi. Johnnie was born on July 4, 1930, in Cushing, Okla. to John and Irene Moen. At a young age, he moved to California with his family. He worked as a diesel mechanic for Santa Fe Railroad for 10 years. Johnnie moved to the Tehachapi area 15 years ago to be near his brother, Rex Moen. Johnnie was a big-hearted person who had a great sense of humor. He was a really good guy who had a zeal for life and will be missed by his family and friends. Johnnie is survived by daughters, Lorraine Moen of Washington, Bridgette Tomo and husband Carlos of Harbor City and Carolyn Sue Moen of Carson; five grandchildren; one great- granddaughter; twin brothers, Rex Moen of Tehachapi and Ross Moen of Marina Del Rey; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Herren. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 18 at the Wood Family Funeral Service Chapel. Pastor Daniel T. Alsop will officiate at the service. Interment will follow at Mt. View Memorial Park in Barstow at 2 p.m. Wood Family Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
