C.D. Moore, Area Native, Dies at 80
Chester D. Moore, 80, a native of Sutter County, died yesterday at the Driftwood 
Manor Convalescent Hospital. Moore, a life-long resident of this area, made his home 
in Meridian. A carpenter, he was a member of the Sutter Community Methodist Church 
and Enterprise Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Edna, of Meridian; and three 
sisters, Mrs Fred Haven of Yuba City, Mrs Edna Taylor of Oakland and Mrs Sam Betty 
of Colusa. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm tomorrow at Ullrey Memorial Chapel. 
Rev. James Senter of Eureka and members of the Enterprise Lodge will officiate. 
Cremations will be at Sierra View Memorial Park. Memorials to the Sutter Community 
Methodist Church or the Sutter Butte Cross Fund have been suggested.
