Rites Set for Area Native
James Rennie Murray, 92, a native of Sutter County and a son of early residents 
died yesterday in South Sacramento Convalescent Hospital, A retired orchardist 
he had been a Sutter County resident until 1968 when he went to Sacramento due 
to his health. He was the last James and Annie (Burnett) Murray who came to 
Sutter County in 1864. He is survived by three daughters, Ivadell Benedetti and 
Hazel Bergen of Sacramento and Hellen Butschy of Walnut Grove and five 
grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled 
tomorrow at 11 am at Ullrey Memorial Chapel with Rev. Harry Vise, pastor of the 
First Methodist Church of Marysville, officiating. Burial will be in Sutter 
cemetery.
