Edna Julia (Lohse) Nikolas remembered
DOWNEY-Graveside services were held Jan. 15 at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier for Edna Julia 
(Lohse) Nikolas, a Downey resident for 36 years and a homemaker. 
She was 89, born in Bell, and died Jan. 6 at Fullerton Gardens Board & Care. 
She enjoyed baby sitting, gardening, crocheting and reading. 
Survivors include her daughter, Patty Tapp of Bishop; her sons, Bill (Sue) Nikolas of Downey, Steve 
(Johanna) Nikolas of Moreno Valley; grandchildren Jim Tapp of Claremont, Robin (Cris) Courtney of 
Tacoma, Washington, Kim Tapp of San Diego, Jeff, Michael and Ashley Nikolas of Downey, and Lindsay 
and Kelly Nikolas of Moreno Valley. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Nikolas, and a brother and sister. 
The Rev. Dr. John Toay officiated. Arrangements were by the Miller-Mies Mortuary of Downey.
