Lori J. Owen passed away at her parent's home 
in Camarillo on Aug. 19, at the age of 47, after a 
five-year battle with cancer. 
Lori was most well-known in the Tehachapi 
business community as the caring and 
determined loan officer of Sanwa Bank California 
and longtime member of the Tehachapi Kiwanis 
Club. 
Lori was a selfless person who always thought 
more of what she could do for others than her 
own needs. She had an irrepressible spirit that 
allowed her to face life with all its trials and even 
death itself with humor and determination. She 
fought valiantly over the course of her illness 
and her laughter and wit is what was most 
evident. Her kindness and generosity were the 
hallmarks of her life among us. Her family and 
friends have lost a great treasure. 
Lori is survived by her son Ryan, daughters 
Nicole and Katie, parents John and Barbara 
Ross, brother Michael and sisters Gina, Joni and 
especially Lisa, who became Lori's saving grace 
and continually helped her children throughout 
her long battle. She will be greatly missed by 
her many friends/co-workers and her dear friend 
Roger. 
In lieu of flowers, Lori's wishes were that 
donations be made to the Dustry Baird Fund at 
Bank of the West. 
A memorial service will be held at the Church of 
the Nazarene, located on Highline Road, on 
Saturday, Aug. 28, at 4 p.m. A reception will be 
held at Mountain Aire Estates clubhouse on 
Dennison Road directly after the service.
