Billy Ray Owens, Sr. services held Tuesday
DOWNEY-Funeral services were heard Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the Downey Zrelak Family Mortuary Chapel 
for Billy Ray Owens, Sr., a Downey resident for five years, and a self-employed traffic consultant for 30 
years. 
He was 57, born in Moyers, Oklahoma July 3, 1940, and died Nov. 14 in the Long Beach V.A. Hospital. 
He lived previously in Cerritos. 
Survivors include his children, Billy Ray Owens, Jr. of Pico Rivera, Larry D. Owens of Van Nuys, DeAnna 
Gravius of Downey, Leslie Owens of Tucson, Arizona, Tammi Owens of Santa Fe Springs; sisters LaVerne 
Paulovich of Downey, Nellie Lawson of Eloy, Arizona; 15 grandchildren, a great-grandson, and his 
longtime companion, Judy Evans. 
Pastor Eric T. Ietze officiated. 
Burial followed in Eloy Memorial Park in Eloy, Arizona. Arrangements were by the Downey Zrelak 
Family Mortuary.
