Friends, family mourn Christine Owens at 84
DOWNEY-A Memorial Mass was heard Thursday, Dec. 4, at St. Raymond's Church for Christine Owens, 
a resident of Downey since 1946 and a former secretary for 15 years at Rockwell here. 
She was 84, born in Sidney, Nebraska, and died Nov. 28 in Downey Community Hospital. She was a 
member of St. Raymond's Church and the San Gabriel Women's Club. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Owens in 1985. 
Survivors include her son, Thomas Owens; a daughter, Rosemary Hubbell (Dr. David Hubbell); five 
grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. 
Burial was at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier. Arrangements were by the Miller-Mies Mortuary of 
Downey.
