San Diego Union, December 4, 1913

PATTERSON-At Imperial, Cal., November 30, 1913, James L. Patterson,
brother of Mrs. Sarah Dodgoin of Western Colorado and uncle of Mrs.
W.C. Merserve of this city; a native of North Carolina, aged 90 years.
	Friends and members of the Confederate Veterans are invited to
attend the funeral services at the chapel of Johnson, Connell & Saum,
Seventh and Broadway, at 10 o'clock a.m. today under the auspices of the
Daughters of the Confederacy. Rev. W.H. Geistwelt will officiate. Interment
at Mt. Hope cemetery.
