Source Unknown; Date Unknown Lillian Louise Pengilley was born January 3, 1920 in Herrin, Illinois and passed away March 24, 2005 in Roseville, California. She was the wife of 68 years of the late John Robert Pengilley, who passed away in January of this year. She was mother of Yvonne and husband Robert Brown of Shingle Springs, Betty and husband Jesse Andrade of Shingle Springs, and Phyllis Gross of Mojave, sister of Evelyn Benson of Alabama and Floyd Jennings of Illinois. She had 9 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 17 great- great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Lillian and John lived and raised their family in Mojave from 1945 until 2004. She worked hard as a waitress for many years and put everyone before herself. Even though she didn't play golf, she spent many Saturdays at the course cooking hamburgers. Her family was very important to her and she was a great help in the raising of grandchildren. Private family services were held. Memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 2425 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, California 95817. Arrangements by Green Valley Mortuary.
