Thelma Louise Penrod mourned at age of 85
DOWNEY-Services will be today (Friday, Oct. 19), at 11:30 a.m. at the Miller-Mies Mortuary Chapel 
for Thelma Louise Penrod, a Downey resident for 46 years and a member of the Church of Christ of 
Downey. 
She was 85, born in Henderson, Kentucky, and died Oct. 15 in Downey Regional Medical Center. 
Survivors include seven children, Nancy Ware, Sylvia Parker, Bobbie Ivison, Chuck Penrod, Martha 
Tastad, Judith Michaels and Phyllis Chastain; four sisters, Norma Strain, Juanita Matlock, Henrietta 
Penrod and Nelda Garcia; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. 
The Rev. Gary Mancilas of Grace Reform Church of Lancaster officiated. 
Burial followed at the Downey District Cemetery. 
Arrangements were by the Miller-Mies Mortuary of Downey.
