Redding Record Searchlight on 2/10/2008 

REDDING - Dean Passed at home Sunday February 3, 2008. Dean was born September 11, 
1957 in Susanville CA. 
He was preceded in death by his father Richard Perkins and stepfather Stan Shafer. 
Dean is survived by his mother Ethel Shafer, children from his first marriage 
Ashley Bartow and Justin Perkins, his wife Margie, son Dean Jr., stepchildren 
Amanda, Katie, Christina, Sheena, and Brandon, three grandchildren, six step 
grandchildren, siblings Cal Perkins, Sheryl Jewett, Mary Perkins, and an extended 
loving family. 
Deans passions were family, motorcycles, and the outdoors. He was a kind, patient, 
and loving person who could fix almost anything that was broken. 
Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Churn 
Creek Road Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 2 p.m. All family and friends are 
invited to attend.
