Friends, family mourn Kathryn C. Peterson
DOWNEY-Graveside services were held at Rose Hills Memorial Park on June 13 for Kathryn C. Peterson, 
a resident of Downey for 45 years and the former owner (with her husband) of the A.C. Peterson Co. 
of Downey. 
She was 78, born in Lewis, Colorado, and died at a hospital in Encinitas following a long illness. She had 
moved from Downey to Carlsbad seven years ago. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold C. Peterson. 
She was an active member of the PTA for many years here, and the Grace Baptist Church and First 
Baptist Church of Downey. 
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Thelma Peterson of Downey; her daughter, 
Susan De Santis of Tustin; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Merna 
Shipman of Arizona. 
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Janis Mc Pheeters. 
Pastor Marvin Jackson of the Grandview Baptist Church officiated. Burial followed at Rose Hills. 
Arrangements were by the Risher Montebello Mortuary.
