Funeral Mass heard for Delphine Pollen, age 95 
DOWNEY-A Funeral Mass was heard at St. Dominic Savio Catholic Church Thursday, Jan. 4, for 
Delphine Pollen, who worked 40 years in nursing. 
She was 95, born Dec. 21, 1905 in Baltimore, Maryland, to parents William Dorsey and Mariah 
Clarke Dorsey, and died Dec. 28 at Downey Regional Medical Center. 
She loved golf, equestrian events, needlepoint, reading and the arts, and animals of all kinds. She 
was spiritual, eloquent and headstrong. 
Survivors include her daughter, Jeanne Edith Pollen Gallagher; grandchildren Christine Delanne 
Gallagher, Chad Steven Gallagher, Liz Grider and Margie Gallagher; great-grandchildren Sean 
Pelltier, Cheryl Provost, Natasha Shaffer, Chad Sean Gallagher, August "Auggie" Vezzoni, Chayne 
Stefan Gallagher, Tyler Ryan Gallagher and Sasha Raven Gallagher. 
Burial followed at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City. Arrangements were by the Downey Zrelak 
Family Mortuary.
