All persons donating to this site retain the rights to their own work. Jesus Ramirez Jesus Ramirez passed away peacefully at home with his family on March 28, 2010. Jesus was born in Laredo, Texas in 1923 to Francisco Ramirez and Lorenza Ramirez. At 19, Jesus joined the Air Force in Laredo, Texas where he served as an airplane mechanic for 24 years; subsequently he worked for Hook Jr. High and Victor Valley High School as a custodian for eight years. In 1969 Jesus and his wife Flora opened Flora's Mexican Restaurant in Victorville. This became a landmark where they served the community for 19 years. Jesus adored his wife, treasured his family and cherished the life he was given. Jesus is survived by his loving wife of more than 55 years, Flora Ramirez of Victorville; son Jesus Ramirez Jr. who is married to Rosemary Ramirez of Colton; daughter Teresa Alcala of Adelanto; daughter Leticia Lerma-Islas of Apple Valley; daughter Etel Macedo who is married to Daniel Macedo of Hesperia; daughter Soledad Ramirez of Victorville and son Faustino Ramirez of Victorville. He will be missed by 22 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Eudelia Torres on April 27, 1996. Arrangements for the viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 6 at Victor Valley Mortuary. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 7 at St. Joan of Arc Church, 15512 Sixth St. in Victorville, with interment immediately following. Published in Daily Press from April 4 to April 5, 2010
