1927 � 2004
Lorraine Reed died in Palo Alto on Oct. 1 at 
Standford Medical Center. Mrs. Reed was born 
Collinsville, Okla., in 1927.
She was 14-year resident of Tehachapi and 
crocheted baby blankets for Sharing & Caring's 
layette program.
Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by her 
husband, Max. 
Lorraine is survived by her two children, Max 
Reed Jr. of Tehachapi and Candace Soule and 
husband Wallace Soule of Bakersfield; a special 
niece, Shelly Gotcher; three grandchildren and 
seven great-grandchildren. 
Graveside services were held in Taft on Oct. 5.
