All persons donating to this site retain the rights to their own work. Richard "Rico" Renteria Richard Renteria "Rico", 71, passed away March 16, 2010 in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. He was born Feb. 7, 1938 in Barstow, and had lived here all of his life. Rico attended Barstow High School, graduating in 1956. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 36 years. Rico is predeceased by his parents, Catarino and Juanita Renteria; and sister, Guadalupe Renteria. Surviving Rico are his brothers, Tony Renteria and Pete Renteria of Barstow, and Catarino Renteria of San Bernardino; sisters, Lucy Felix and her husband, Babino, and Julia Turner and her husband, Joe of Hinkley, and Della Hernandez and her husband, Guillermo of New Mexico, Ofelia Suplee and her husband, Samuel and Rosemary Renteria, both of Barstow; sons, Richard, Tony and Victor of Washington State, and Tracy; and daughter, Stacy of Colorado; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at Mead Mortuary, 36930 Irwin Road, with burial to follow at Mt. View Memorial Park, 37067 Irwin Road.
