Redlands Daily Facts; 03/11/2008 JC Roberts, a longtime resident of the Yucaipa and Redlands area, died March 5 in Redlands, following a long illness. He was 82. He was born in Arkansas and had lived in Yucaipa many years before moving to Redlands 10 years ago. He served as a medic in the U.S. Army during World War II and worked 20 years as a psychiatric technician at Patton State Hospital. His wife, Wanda Roberts, died in 2007. Survivors include his daughters Jean Valkenburg of Coalinga and Rhonda Boadway of Phelan; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service is scheduled for 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, March 14, at Inland Memorial Mortuary, 900 N. Meridian, Colton, followed by a graveside service at 1 p.m. at Riverside National Cemetery.
