All persons donating to this site retain the rights to their own work. Valley Daily Bulletin; 3/8/2007 Mario Santana, 41, of Fontana passed away on March 3, 2007 in Salton City. He was born August 31, 1965 in Ontario, California to Sergio and Maria Del Refugio Santana. Mario lived in the city of Fontana in what he called "Fontucky." He worked at Scotty's Jeep for 28 years as a mechanic. During that time he met and married the love of his life Lulu P ulido, throughout their 15 years of marriage they had 3 children and one older son from a previous marriage. Mario had a gold heart, he was known as the greatest mechanic in the Inland Empire. The word "NO" was never in his vocabulary. Besides his family, Jeep riding was his passion. He enjoyed Jeep riding with family and friends. He has left an impact in everyone's lives. Mario was a kind of man who would go above and beyond to help out others. He will be greatly missed. Mario is survived by his loving wife, Lulu Santana, his two daughters, Briana, and Emily Santana, two sons, Mario Jr., Andrew Santana, his father Sergio Santana Sr. and Scotty his second father, three brothers Alberto, Sergio, and Fernando Santana, three sister in-laws Sylvia Contreras, Maricela, Rocio Santana, three brother-n-laws Bobby Contreras Javier Pulido, Edward Pulido, and a host of nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends, and a bunch of compadres, who have all been touched by his warmth and positive spirit to ce lebrate his homecoming. A visitation will be held today, March 8, 2007 at Funeraria Del Angel Griffith Chapel from 4:00pm- 8:00pm with Rosary at 7:00pm. Funeral mass will be held on Friday March 9, 2007, 10:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Chino. Internment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park in Ontario.
